City Model of Dresden
As part of the current renovation work in Dresden City Hall, the city model, which normally has its place in the atrium of the City Hall, is temporarily on display in the World Trade Center.
The model, made of PVC and alder wood, presents the current buildings in the city (white color in the model) as well as the houses planned or under construction (wooden-colored model components). The city model, with its 56 square meters, shows the Dresden city center on a scale of 1:500 and represents a total of 14 square kilometers of the city of Dresden. Since the city planning office of the city of Dresden, which is responsible for developing and updating the model, is located in the WTC, it was obvious to continue the exhibition here during the construction work in the City Hall, which is expected to last until the end of November.
From Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the city model is accessible to visitors free of charge directly via the atrium on the ground floor of Ammonstrasse 70.
